Stephen’s Album Debut Concert • Press Release
- see poster below -

Pioneer Valley cellist and award-winning composer Stephen Katz celebrates the release of his new CD of original cello music with a performance at Helen Hills Hills Chapel in Northampton on Saturday, February 25 at 7:30 PM. $15 admission. For more info, visit www.stephenkatzmusic.com or call (413) 268-3588. The title of Stephen’s new recording, Flying Pizzicato, is also the name of his pioneering approach to strumming and plucking the cello. The fulfillment of more than a decade of innovation, the CD features definitive studio versions of his bow-less and looped repertoire.

You might ask, “How can a performance mesmerize, awaken, and uplift listeners all at the same time?”
I can only recommend that you take in Stephen’s next performance, which is sure to introduce you to his innovative combination of dynamic string strumming rhythms, alluring bowing, and vocal accompaniment.
