Participants are invited to move, draw, write, meditate, or simply listen to uplifting, ambient, improvised cello music in the intimate gallery space.

We will gather briefly at the beginning to introduce ourselves to the group, and at the end to share about our process. Participation optional.

Stephen will create a musical accompaniment, inspired by sounds, movements, and markings made by participants.

Children who can participate quietly are welcome.

BYO art supplies +/or use supplies provided.

Cellist and award-winning composer, Stephen Katz, has collaborated with movement and visual artists for over 40 years. He has performed his compositions internationally as a soloist and ensemble partner, and has been featured on national radio broadcasts. He is a National Endowment for the Arts grant recipient and an award-winning film composer. Stephen lives in Haydenville, Mass. Listen here to a sample of his music.

With volunteer support from LC&A artists.

Partially funded by a grant from the Mass Cultural Council.
