Stephen's score for Ezra Bookstein's The Rich Have Their Own Photographers won the Jury Prize Gold Medal for Best Impact of Music in a Documentary at the Park City Film Music Festival. His film score Two Square Miles has been broadcast nationally on PBS/Independent Lens. His performances have been heard on National Public Radio's Performance Today.

Stephen has performed his dance scores in Boston, Chicago, Miami, San Francisco, New York City, and Rio de Janeiro & Brasília, Brazil. He was composer/music director for IMBOLC RIVERFIRE, an epic festival celebration held in Hudson, NY.
A native of San Francisco, Stephen received a Master of Music degree from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and lives in Western Massachusetts.
