COMPOSING

Stephen Katz composes for film, dance, and theater

". . . I want you to know that I've never heard anything like your music in all the scouring and searching I've done as an editor of content and films over the past 6 years. I really believe you have one of the most unique sounds as a contemporary cellist, competing really only with the likes of Zoe Keating (yet even then, your sound is so drastically different than hers, its hard to compare you both!). I feel that you have a very interesting balance between minimal, and powerful compositions that would mix well into the nonfiction work I do for the university."
